It was carnival-like laced with praise singing songs and accolades today at Ilawe town and its environ as the people trooped out to witness the official commissioning of the Ilawe/Ikogosi link road constructed by the state government and commissioned by the senate leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele MOB.
The road which is one of the many road projects embarked upon by the administration of the amiable and dependable governor of the state Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji BAO whose nick name is MR. TRANSFORMER because of the speedy and unprecedented pace at which the governor has been executing projects in the state within a space of two years he took over from former Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The road will serve as a relief to commuters plying the Ilawe/Ikogosi and environs route.
Speaking at the commissioning, the distinguished senate leader urged the people of the area and Ekiti in general to appreciate the efforts of the governor and all the good things his administration has embarked on to make life better for the people of the state especially at this period by complementing his efforts with their unflinching support.
In the Governor’s speach at the occasion, he called on the people of the state to always give his administration their support at all times to enable the government to be able to serve them better.
He also promised that his government will stop at nothing to see that Ekiti State becomes the state a benchmark for other states in the western region and in Nigeria in general.
