The Nigerian senate president, Senator Godswill Akpabio led other senators to the convocation ceremony of Ekiti State University Ado Ekiti on Saturday where Dr. Opeyemi Bamidele the Nigeria senate leader was awarded with the Doctor of law honorary causa.
The senate president, Senator Godswill Akpabio‘s presence at the event alongside other senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was unprecedented in the history of the institution. The senate President while speaking,promised that the senate will support the University at all times and Ekiti state in general.
The highlight of the event was when the senate president, Senator Akpabio personally gifted the university the sum of N100 million towards the development of the institution.
Other dignitaries at the epoch event included OmoOba Lekan Ajisafe the CEO of Post Assurance Brokers Limited. Honorable Tope Aina, and host of others.
