The Commissioner of Police In-Charge of Airport Police Command, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja-Lagos, Compol Ndatsu Aliyu Mohammed has paid a courtesy visit on the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, psc+.
He paid the visit on Tuesday October 6th, 2020. The visit was in furtherance of the synergy and collaboration between various formations within the Force in ensuring the security and protection of lives and property through Community Policing Strategy.
The CP stated reason for the courtesy visit; which is sustenance of the existing synergy and collaboration between various formations within the Force, while the AIG in his response; emphasizes the need for all police officers to take cognizance and key into IGP Ten (10) points agenda/Guidelines on restricting the operations of Federal Special Anti-Robbery (FSARS), Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Special Tactical Squad (STS), Anti-Kidnapping, and other Tactical Units operating across all formations, Federal, Zonal and Command level to also key into the new reforms agenda going on within the Force to meet up with best global practices of modern policing in the 21st century.
The AIG also stated that the Zone is ready to work with the public ,other stakeholders and sister security agencies,as well as respect of human rights and dignity of persons in line with RULE OF LAW as enshrined within community policing engagements in combating crime and criminality while he reiterates the commitment of the Zone and the full implementation of the IGP’s directives and to synergize with other formations in combating crime and criminality and robust working relationship.
