For those who don’t know, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu and his younger brother, Dumebi don’t talk to each other. The cold war between the brothers has been on for years now. Family sources are blaming Dumebi for everything and they revealed that, he has not been showing enough respect for the minister.
We were told that after Ibe’s appointment as the Group Managing Director (GMD) of NNPC, Dumebi was said to have started using his brother’s name to cut mouth-watering deals with many local and foreign businessmen without his knowledge and this really made the minister very angry. Though, the minister called him to order on several occasions all to no avail and has decided to distance himself from him.
