The ambience of Colonnades Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, Saturday, the 2nd of November, 2024 glowed with electrifying presence of dignitaries from all walks of life as a socio- cultural organisation, Association of Anambra State Development Unions, AASDU conferred an Chief (Pharm) Ubachukwu with Special Award of Excellence in Business And Industry in recognition of his service to humanity, contributions to community and economic and human capital development through his businesses and industry during its 2024 Award and Dinner Night.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Ubachukwu, a 1985 Pharmacy graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, FPSN, thanked AASDU for honouring him, saying the award would spur him into doing more for humanity.
He pledged his support to AASDU quest for economic and industrial development of Anambra state.
An industrialist and philanthropist, Ubachukwu is the Chairman CEO of Megachem Nigeria Ltd which deals on manufacture, distribution and importation of pharmaceutical products, foods and cosmetics including the popular Nycil range of antiseptic products.
Among Ubachukwu’s friends who swarmed Colonnades Hotel to identify with were CEO Tomez Nig Ltd, Chief Tony Ezeani, Chairman Konac Industries Ltd, Chief Emma Konac Aniakor, CEO, Zanetti Marbles Ltd, Barr Dave Anazodo, Sir Uche Obiakor (MD Elbe Pharmaceuticals Ltd), among others.
