The Nigerian film industry, generally known as Nollywood, has lost another veteran actor to death.
Popular actor, Emmanuel France, has joined the long list of Nollywood actors that have died in year 2024.
His demise was announced by popular filmmaker, Femi Ogedengbe via his Instagram page on Monday, September 16th, 2024.
He wrote: “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France. One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: She Is My Sister, The Director and Cross My Sin R.I.P.”
His demise came less than 48hours after the death of another Nollywood actor, Big Larry. Big Larry died on Friday, September 13th, 2024.
It is interesting to know that the Nigerian movie industry has lost several actors since January 2024, and this includes Mr Ibu, Junior Pope, Sisi Quadri, Ganiyu ‘Ogunjimi‘ Oyeyemi, Amaechi Muonagor, among many others.
