OSMAK Condemns Killing Of Soldiers In Delta, Calls For Thorough Investigation

A tragic incident in Delta State has sparked outrage and calls for justice from Hon. Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya, the lawmaker representing Mushin Constituency 1 in Lagos State House of Assembly.

Akinsanya on Tuesday strongly condemned the killing of 16 soldiers who were on a peaceful mission in the Okuama community of Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Expressing his concerns and emphasizing the need for a swift resolution to prevent further unrest in the country, Akinsanya commended the President of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for quickly ordering a thorough investigation into the incident. He also praised the Nigerian Army for their prompt efforts in carrying out the investigation.

Akinsanya, who sympathized with the families of those who may have lost their loved ones, called for thorough investigation of the crisis that led to the unwarranted killing of innocent soldiers. Urging the entire community to cooperate with the security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators of the evil crime and bring them to justice.

He prayed for the slain soldiers that the Almighty Allah forgive their sins and granted them aljana fridaus.
 
Recall that Military authorities said they 17 soldiers were killed while on a mission to maintain peace between two warring communities: Okuama, Ughelli South Local Government Area and Okoloba Community in Bomadi Local Government Area both of Delta State.
