That Pana crooner, Augustine Kelechi Miles, famously known as Tekno was arrested by the police is an established fact.
Be that as it may, the singer who was arrested on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command for breaching public decency has now been granted bail.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) SCIID, Mrs. Yetunde Longe, revealed this. She said; “Yes, we invited him for questioning but we did not detain him because of his health. He was advised to report to the police whenever he was needed. Investigation is still ongoing.”
Also, the Police Spokesman, DSP Bala Elkana, said; He was quizzed for several hours at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Panti, Yaba before being granted administrative bail on health grounds.”
For those who don’t know, Tekno ran into trouble after he participated in a mobile advertisement, displaying some half naked girls dancing seductively in a transparent glass box on a truck while he sprayed money on them. This happened along the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos over the weekend.
Interestingly, the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has suspended the advertising firm, Pro-Vision Media Systems Limited whose van was used in the parade.
