Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, AIG Hakeem Odumosu (retd.), has cried out to Nigerians over reports spreading like wild harmattan fire that he has been appointed as the substantive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Odumosu, in a statement on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023 said; “I have been inundated with so many calls and messages between yesterday and today on a purported “EFCC Appointment”.
“I just want to use this opportunity to debunk this information and say it’s totally untrue.”
“This information must have emanated from mischief makers and should be totally disregarded.”
For those who don’t know, the report emerged on Tuesday, saying that the Senate has confirmed his appointment as the new EFCC boss.
