Chief Dr Vitalis Okechukwu Calls For More Involvement

The Chineme Foundation is one of the fastest growing charity organisations in Nigeria. The Founder and CEO, Chief Dr Vitalis Okechukwu is at it again.

Last December 31st was the height of it all when all over the place,  it was a celebration time as the people enjoyed the moment that did not always come to them. 

At a press briefing when asked what he plans about the annual event that has brought so much happiness to the community he grew up in.

The people of Amankwo in Ezeagu L.G.A of Enugu State have never stopped to express their joy and love they share about their true son who commissioned borehole projects which the people and community enjoy without a cost. 

He called on other community members to support their people in whatever capacity they can. He went further to say it is a good thing to give. 

“I love to see smiles on peoples faces,  as I have always said, I derive joy from serving which is what my profession has allowed me to do throughout my entire life… giving back to the society,” Dr. Vitalis enthused.

This annual event is always targeted towards a set of individuals and groups to support them either by awarding them with scholarship opportunities or providing them food and supplies. 

The annual football tournament competition which always attracts neighbouring communities and villages where the winning team takes home not only the cup but also cash prizes. 

This year’s event will attract people coming together to watch the much talked about competitions. Chief Dr Vitalis Okechukwu, Dr. V as he is fondly called, promises to facilitate more involvement of different communities around his community as this game grows bigger every year. 

“The foundation will lead the way to scholarship increase, we started with three university students, but hope to increase the number as we progress.”

“Education is one of the best gifts you can offer to any child, especially in this type of society where one needs help to succeed,” Dr. V concluded.
