It was a grand final rites for the late Ezinne Regina Mgbo Ubachukwu as his son, Pharm Sam Ubachukwu spared no cost to bid her a befitting farewell.
The late Ezinne Ubachukwu died at a glorious age of 100.
For the late Ezinne Ubachukwu (Nee Nnoruka) of the legendary Ubachukwu family, Oka village, Ichi in Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra state, a time to die coincided with a time to celebrate!
Indeed, leaving the stage at the age of 100 leaves the Ubachukwus with no other option than to celebrate the life and time of their matriarch-, a fulfilled life, a life well lived.
This explains why Pharm Ubachukwu who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mega Chem Nig. Ltd., lavishly celebrated the life and time of a dear mother who lived a fulfilled life.
The carnival-like burial which took place on the 6th of January was graced by dignitraries from all walks of life including the presidential candidate of Labour party, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Uba (Senator representing Anambra South), Senator Chief Victor Umeh , Sir Emma Bishop Okonkwo (Chaiman, Ekulo Group), Chief Tony Okonkwo (Dreams Cosmetics), Chief Kenneth Okafor, (Owelle of Ichida), Chief Ben Amuta (Onowu Umudioka) and Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo (Wichtech CEO).
Others are Chief Dr Alexander Chika Okafor (Chairman, Chicason group), Dr Ben Okoye (Onwa Nnewi, Brass Petrochemicals), Maj. Gen. U.T Musa (GOC 82 Div Enugu), Igwe G.N Obiora of Achina, Mr Val Ozigbo, amongst others.
In an appreciation of the solidarity he received from friends and business associates, Pharm Ubachukwu later hosted them to a “Thank You” dinner in Lagos.In attendance were Senator Ifeanyi Uba, Sir Emma Bishop Okonkwo, Barr Allen Onyema (CEO Airpeace , HRH Igwe Gerald Mbamalu (Igwe Ojoto), Pharm. Nnamdi Obi, Chief Tony Okonkwo and other top Brass.
During her younger days, the late Ezinne Regina Ubachukwu was a shrewd and successful businesswoman, a trait she passed on to her children, including Pharm Sam.
It is worth noting that all of Ezinne’s children are highly successful businessmen and industrialists.
