Lionel Messi’s dream of winning the world cup has finally come true as Argentina defeated France on Sunday, December 18th, 2022 in the Qatar World Cup Final which ended on penalty shout-out after a dramatic 3-3 draw.
However, speaking on his latest achievement, Lionel Messi, whom many believed is the world best footballer ever, took to his Instagram page and wrote;
“CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!!! So many times I dreamed it, so much I wanted it that I still don’t fall, I can’t believe it….”
“Thank you so much to my family, to all who support me and also to all who believed in us. We prove once again that Argentinians when we fight together and united we are able to achieve what we aim.”
“The merit is of this group, which is above individuals, is the strength of all fighting for the same dream that was also the one of all Argentinians… We did it!!! LET’S GO ARGENTINA DAMN!!! We’re seeing each othr very soon.”
Recall that Argentina lost its first game in the Qatar 2022 World Cup against Saudi Arabia, thereby, making millions of people all over the world to write off the South American team from the competition.
The former Barcelona star who currently plays for French football club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), also won the Golden Ball Award as the “Best Player” in the 2022 World Cup tounament held in Qatar.
