“Your Father Was Good To My Father, You’ll Win” – Balogun Ajikobi Prays For Kwara SDP Guber Candidate, Hakeem Lawal

The gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kwara State, Alhaji Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal on Wednesday continued his state-wide consultative meeting with stakeholders and groups when the train stopped at Ajikobi, Ilorin West Local Government Area of the State to pay a courtesy visit to Balogun Ajikobi, Alhaji Isiaka Baba Eleko Babaje.

Receiving the entourage at his palace, the monarch thanked the team for the visit and prayed for the success of their endeavours.

According to him; “The former governor of Kwara State, the Late Mohammed Alabi Lawal was a great governor who left an impactful legacy in governance. He was a good man. He was good to my father. This I know. He did well. I believe you are going to do well too. I pray you win.”

The ‘ship’ had earlier berthed at the palace of Balogun Alanamu, Dr. Usman Abubakar Akanbi-Jos who also prayed for Alhaji Hakeem Lawal and his team. The entourage later met with some prominent Imams and Islamic clerics at Sultanate Mosque, Adewole area of the town before proceeding to the Doctors’ Hall to parley with other groups and stakeholders.

At the meeting with the groups, comprising market women, artisans, farmers, drivers, etc, the SDP gubernatorial candidate restated his commitment to transform the state and return Kwara to the path of progress and prosperity.

He added that his transformation agenda will be anchored on Education, Agriculture, Economic empowerment and Local Government reforms.

According to him; “My focus is to change the policy on Education, with emphasis on Science and Technology to drive our youths to become global citizens.”

“Our discussion today is a covenant between us. The two parties must do their part. When you vote for us, it becomes a debt for us to do our part too. I can assure you that we will deploy Kwara resources for Kwarans and strive to restore the glory of the State,” he said.
