The son of the former Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed splashed over N80 million to buy McClaren 650s Coupe recently. Abdullahi Bala doled out 280,000 dollars to buy the exotic car in USA.
Those in the know revealed that McClaren 650s Coupe accelerates from 0 to 60mph in 2.9 seconds and reaches 100mph in 5.7 seconds. After coughing out that huge amount of money to buy the car abroad, the former minister’s son evaded the custom duty in Nigeria which is about N124 million and paid only N300,000 to Nigeria customs service.
This explained why he was arrested recently by Federal Operations Unit Zone A, Ikeja of Nigeria Customs Service. Insiders revealed that the ex-minister’s son simply duped Nigeria N123,700,000 and he must pay the money before the car is released.
