Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has been accused by his predecessor, Solomon Dalung of diverting N1 billion fund approved by the President Muhammadu Buhari’s adminstration.
According to Dalung, the N1 billion had been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari and released since August 2019 for the basketballers’ bonuses.
Dalung has demanded for the whereabouts of the money and had asked the minister to give explanation.
However, Sunday Dare, commenting on the allegation revealed that he was not the minister when the bonuses meant for the Women’s basketball team were owed.
He said; “These are allowances that are owed since 2017 when I was not even the minister.”
It is interesting to know that members of the D’Tigress basketball team are being owed and the team had expressed their anger. They said they are being owed allowances and bonuses.
