Nollywood actress cum filmmaker, Seyi Ariyo a.k.a Shebaby has cried out to Nigerians to come to her rescue.
According to the actress, masquerades are attacking her for making a movie, ‘Asiri Pepe’ where a masquerade was seen sleeping with someone.
She said; “I made a movie with a scene where a masquerade was sleeping with someone. An onlooker recorded the scene and posted it on Facebook.”
“Since then, other masquerades have been attacking me and blaming me for disrespecting them.”
“I was also threatened that I will lose my life in the next seven days. I have begged them but to no avail. They refused to accept me plea. Nigerians should come and help me to also beg them.”
She also wrote via her Instagram page; “I would never look down on our heritage and rich culture. The movie Asiri Pepe was produced to enlighten people on religious realities beyond the altar and in fact, the impact of looking down on the African religion.”
