Lizzy Anjorin’s Shocker; “I Opted For Business Because There Is No Future In Nollywood”

Nollywood star actress and businesswoman, Lizzy Anjorin has raised a dust.

The screen diva in a recent interview with Owambevibes Magazine made some breathtaken revelations, ranging from her acting that brought her to stardom, her lucrative businesses, marriage and her 23year old daughter whom many have little or no knowledge about.

She said; “I knew there would not be future in Nollywood and I have bills to pay so I opted for business – I sell cement, I sell houses, I sell diesel, I sell clothes, I sell gold.”

“I sew my clothes and spend hours doing the stoning myself -how many celebrities can do that? I don’t do my business like a celebrity. I operate my business like the market woman in Idumota. I know how to carry myself as a celebrity. I produce my own movie and I spend money hugely.”

“Lets assume everything about me is fake, but how many artistes work like me? When they can get any artiste that works like me, then I can tell them how I make my money. When I opened my shop 10 years ago in Abule Egba and Ogba, Lagos, how many artistes had shops? I do a lot of businesses and as a very hardworking person, I remain the richest.”

“I don’t want to mention names but I don’t have any business with anyone, I am in love with my business. I mind my lane. I am a moving plane. I have friends in the industry. Who is saying I don’t have friends in the industry?”

“I have and I am sure someone is sending the wrong signals to the society. I am facing my business and I need to make money because I have bills to pay. I started social media paparazzi because I started selling clothes. I don’t have knowledge of phone, I just post my wares and move on.”

“My business is almost 20 years, I started from when I was in polytechnic. I was selling boxers, tops, shirts and jewellery. I would collect uniforms from custom officers and go to wash in Lagos and return.”

“I also started selling cheap jewellery and gradually I could sell genuine gold jewellery. There was a time an actor’s son stole all my jewellery while we were on set. I was just struggling then and I cried.”

“I have a man who is caring, loving. When you are hardworking, good men would want to be your friend. Some will also want to marry you. Initially, I didn’t want to expose my husband but when some forces started making funny noise, I had to reveal his identity.”

“I have always been uncomfortable with exposing my personal life on social media. If you observe my page on Instagram, I talk mainly about my businesses – clothingline, jewellery, properties, lands and now skincare.”

“I am a very private person despite being a celebrity. I shield my life away from the media. My daughter, who is now 23-year-old doesn’t appear on my handles. She is currently studying in the United States and I’m sure not anyone will see her here or abroad and say, “That’s Liz Anjorin’s daughter’.”
