Magu Reportedly Suspended By Buhari As EFCC Acting Chairman

Information reaching us has it that the embattled Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu has been suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari.

We gathered Magu spent the night in a police cell at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Headquarters in Abuja.

Magu, before his detention went through a six-hour grilling by a presidential panel, chaired by Justice Ayo Salami, a former president of the Court of Appeal.

It is interesting to know that President Buhari set up the panel to probe various allegations levelled against Magu, following a petition by Abubakar Malami, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation and the Department of State Service (DSS).
